Distinguished Service in Neonatal Nursing

The Distinguished Service Award recognizes outstanding and dedicated service to NANN. The award honors an individual who has advanced the mission of NANN in a significant and lasting way.


Selection Criteria
The nominee will demonstrate contributions to NANN through innovative and/or exceptional performance of duties incident to the offices, SIGs, committees and/or task forces on which s(he) has served.

Winner Receives

  • Complimentary conference registration
  • $500 stipend to be applied to hotel and travel costs
  • $250 honorarium
  • Trophy


  • Nominee must be a NANN member.
  • Nominee must be a NANN Board Member, SIG Facilitator, Committee Chair or Member, or Task Force Chair or Member. With special presidential approval, an individual not serving in one of these capacities may be nominated.
  • A nominee should be active on the national level for more than one (1) year.
  • A nominee's CV must be submitted along with the application.
  • The nominator's letter must accompany the application; the letter should clearly address the selection criteria and provide examples of how the nominee has distinguished her/himself regarding service to NANN.
